Haven now offers not only four grades of caravan holiday home (standard, deluxe, prestige and platinum) and lodges but also a whole range of 'gmaping' accommodation, from yurts to safari tents.

There will be lots of reasons to visit the NEC in February 2018 as the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome show has added a whole host of new attractions in a special holiday park experience area.  This will include a climbing wall and live 'Bushcraft' sessions, as well as a large display of the latest caravan holiday homes and lodges.

Away Resorts has said that the millions of pounds it has invested in its holiday resorts over the last two years has really paid off.  Particularly popular are the units with hot tubs and its new Tribeca lodge.

Shropshire's new £5.5 million caravanning and glamping resort Love2Stay (see below) is also reporting great successes, with 65% of visitors rebooking before they leave.  The demand for activities has also been particularly high.  


Willerby has trialled its first every pet-friendly home - the Lymington comes complete with outdoor tap, a specially fitted dog gate, handy hooks in the shape of dog tails and dog-themed bedding! 

The 'luxury family glamping village' Love2Stay has opened in Emstrey.  Each of its safari lodges has its own private hot tub and fire pit.  The resort offers visitors a luxurious retreat with a natural swimming pool, all within easy reach of the pretty market town of Shrewsbury.

The annual Caravan Extravaganza (Cottingham, 2 and 3 September), gives enthusiasts from all over the UK their first opportunity to see the new season's models of tourers and caravan holiday homes. A massive accessory shop is set up within The Lawns Centre; there is a small funfair for children, hamburger and other food stalls, including ice-creams and entertainment to make a fun day out for the family.


Away Resorts has opened the UK's biggest inflatable Aquaglide aqua park at its Tattershall Lakes Country Park in Lincolnshire. The aqua park includes a floating assault course, trampoline, a human catapult and the UK's only volley ball court on water. The park's new £4 million entertainment centre includes a swimming pool, hot tubs, gym and spa.

Holiday home manufacturer, Willerby, is proud that it home city of Hull is City of Culture 2017 - and they are doing their bit to help get it buzzing!  WillerBee is the company mascot (the founder's original roots were in beehive production) but sadly the UK's bumblebee population is declining. To help raise awareness of the plight of the British bumblebee, Willerby is planning a year-long campaign to support their conservation by distributing seeds and supporting conservation initiatives.

Park operator Away Resorts unveiled a new holiday home called Tribeca at the NEC show.  They teamed up with Beverley-based holiday home manufacturer, ABI, whose designer, Laura Collins, was asked to create ‘a ground breaking boutique-style caravan … a solution for the modern family’. The New York loft hotel feel is reflected in its name – Tribeca is a Manhattan neighbourhood. Twenty of new-look homes will be available at Away Resorts' parks this summer.
